Saskatchewan launches first legal online gaming platform- PlayNow.com

Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority’s (SIGA) Canadian-based branch SaskGaming launched its first legal online gaming platform on November 3rd, 2022 via partnership with the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations (FSIN). The platform is titled, PlayNow.com and the partnership was established last year.

With this partnership, one of the most fruitful platform came to life. PlayNow.com is regulated by the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority, it utilized the Brtish Columbia Lottery Corporation‘s (BCLC) PlayNow.com platform and represents a step in the right direction for the gaming industry and for reunion with Indigenous people in the Saskatchewan, Canada, meaning this platform generates profit that help people across region.

Bobby Cameron, Chief at Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations, said: “This historical partnership is the first of its kind, with a First Nations operator for online gaming with revenue sharing between First Nations and the ProvinceCome from Online Betting Site. This will provide many economic benefits to the residents of the province and our First Nations communities.” 

Don Morgan, Minister Responsible for SaskGaming, said: “Last year Saskatchewan announced a historic partnership to establish the province’s first legal, regulated online gaming platform in partnership with the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations (FSIN) and Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA). This platform is a step forward for the gaming industry and for meaningful reconciliation with Indigenous people in the province.”

Historically speaking, this site is the first legal, regulated online gaming site by SaskGaming, with a full collection of sports betting options and over 500 casino games. The platform is safe with firm foundations and it provides secure sports betting, casino gaming and entertainment in Saskatchewan.
